Well it’s been ages since I posted – I’m the first to admit that I’m not very good at keeping up to date with my website. I promise to try harder, and better serve my legion of readers (!). You’ll see from the Events page that I’m playing in two concerts in the Jazz Scotland Autumn Series at the St Bride’s Centre, Edinburgh this weekend: in a trio with Colin Steele and Ross Milligan on Saturday 12 Nov (see Colin Steele, Martin Kershaw and Ross Milligan | Rachel Duns Band | Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival (edinburghjazzfestival.com) – this group premiered at Islay Jazz Festival this year and is a wonderful thing!) and playing with maestro Graeme Stephen’s Quartet on Sunday 13 Nov (see Graeme Stephen Quartet | Phil Bancroft Trio | Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival (edinburghjazzfestival.com). Playtime continues, and I can’t wait to play music by the great Harold Arlen next Thursday at The Outhouse, Broughton St Lane with Graeme Stephen (guitar) and the wonderful Phil O’Malley (trombone) at 8.15pm.
